Light and Productivity
Have you wondered why sometimes you feel energised when walking into a room, or just the opposite, it just makes you want to go to sleep? It is so important to keep your lighting in check. The type and intensity of the lighting of a space impacts the productivity of a person.
Focusing Problems?
Did you know that migraines and eye strain have been linked to bright and harsh light, particularly fluorescent lighting? This type of lighting makes it hard for your eyes to focus properly.
Does this mean we should all dim our lights down when trying to achieve a task? Absolutely not! As in most things in life, all extremes are kind of not good for you.
Dim or dull lighting can be just as bad for you. It can make your eyes work harder to focus and see properly.
Ever wonder why you get the occasional headache? It could be because you are straining your eyes.
Nature Knows Best
Natural lighting is the best for you. It can keep you more motivated and overall healthier. This is why in my Home Office blog post I suggest placing your desk by a window.
Wouldn’t you agree, If you are happier you are more productive?!
